Easy Homemade Instant Hot Cocoa

Homemade Instant Hot Cocoa is rich and creamy; and just as easy to make as the store-bought pouches. And you can make it without the extra sketchy ingredients! Start with the basic recipe, and then choose a flavor add-in to mix things up!

Ingredients Method

Ingredients
  

Basic Ingredients
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tbsp Raw Sugar or maple syrup, or honey
Flavor Add-Ins
  • 1 drop Peppermint Extract or essential oil
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 dash Cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Fill your favorite mug with milk and microwave on high for 90 seconds. Add cocoa powder and sweetener of choice; stir well.
  2. Continue heating in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time and stirring until ingredients are completely dissolved. If desired, add more sweetener to taste.
    Serve as is, or topped with homemade whipped cream or flavor add-ins (below). Enjoy!
